Originally from Seattle, Washington, Pamela Ambrose (she/her) holds a Diploma from the Longy School of Music and an M.M. from Boston University. She was a student of Eva Heinitz, Raymond Davis, George Neikrug and Madeleine Foley. She considers George Neikrug to be her major cellistic and musical influence, and tries to continue expounding his ideas through the next generation.
She is also on the faculty of The Winchester Community Music School, where she maintains a private studio and also coaches chamber music groups. She is also a member of the faculty for the summer Chamber Music Festival at WCMS. Currently a member of the piano trio Trio Con Spirito, she also enjoys collaborating with her colleagues for additional chamber music performances. She has studied chamber music with Louis Krasner, Roman Totenberg, Leonard Shure, and Eric Rosenblith. Pamela has participated in chamber music performances at the Museum of Fine Arts, the Decordova Museum, the Berklee School of Music, and the Ryles Jazz Club. She can be heard on the recording Poetic Reflections.
