Anne Hooper Webb holds a Bachelor of Science in Music from Mannes School of Music, where she studied with William Kroll and Raphael Bronstein. Further violin studies were at the Mozarteum Akademie, Salzburg with Bruno Steinschaden and Sándor Végh. She played for six years with the Camerata Academica of Salzburg and three years with the Sinfonieorchester Graunke of Munich (now Münchner Symphoniker). During summers, she was an orchestra member of the Festival dei due Mondi, Spoleto, Italy. Since 1980, she has freelanced in the Boston area and is a longstanding member of Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic, and concertmaster of Quincy Symphony Orchestra. Also a Scottish fiddler, she was twice winner of the National Scottish Fiddling Championships and has performed in numerous concerts and dance events. She is also on the faculty of Rivers School Conservatory, Weston.
